"The Missionary Voice" brings you glimpses of the life and work of a United Methodist missionary somewhere in God's world.
Ronald Davidson
"Money doesn't buy happiness," says missionary Ronald Davidson, coordinator of United Methodist Volunteers in Mission program in Honduras. This is one of the lessons Mr. Davidson has learned since his first trip to Honduras in 1999 as a member of an UMVIM team.
What does it mean to hear God's call? For Mr. Davidson, it was "An overwhelming sense of God's presence," as he sang the words, "Here I Am, Lord."
Listen in as Mr. Davidson shares his challenges and laughter. Like Mr. Davidson, volunteers in Honduras have learned about poverty, happiness, and love of neighbor as they joined medical and construction volunteer teams. The most memorable times for volunteers are the times spent playing with kids, jumpingrope, and kicking soccer balls.
