Beverly C. Fronda-Barte, missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church, is assigned to the Methodist Mission in Cambodia (MMC). Commissioned in December 2001, she began her ministry in Cambodia in 2002 along with her husband and missionary colleague, Emmanuel, and their children.

Beverly coordinates Christian Education Ministries and Continuing Education for pastors and lay people, which includes assisting/facilitating with the production of educational and resource materials, training of Christian educators and teachers, coordinating discipleship and training programs for church leaders, and congregational development.

From 2002-2004 Beverly taught Christian education courses at the Cambodia Methodist Bible School, and also worked closely with a youth committee as a mentor in the initial formation of the Cambodia Methodist Youth which was organized in April 2005.

Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education from Harris Memorial College in 1991, Beverly was commissioned as a deaconess in 1992. She served as a deaconess/Christian educator in United Methodist Churches in the Pangasinan Philippines Annual Conference from 1993-2001 before joining GBGM. Beverly became a Probationary Clergy member of the Pangasinan Philippines Annual Conference in 2004 and was commissioned as a Clergy Elder in May 2008.

Beverly’s joys in her ministry are being able to assist and contribute to training pastors and lay persons as organizers, facilitators, trainers, and teachers, and help In developing Christian resources that hopefully provide spiritual nurture and growth for the Khmer children and youth. She looks forward to the time when the Methodist Church in Cambodia will become a Khmer-led, Khmer-governed, Khmer-sustained church that faithfully witnesses for our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Blessed by the faith of many Cambodians who seek to serve the Lord despite all of the struggle it takes to become a Christian in a non-Christian nation, Beverly is also inspired by the words of her mother, ”There will always be challenges as you carry on your ministry but you should keep on. There should be no turning back. God is with you.”

Beverly and husband Emmanuel have three sons, Eusteen-Em Kayle, Emmanuel, Jr., and Vassilli Yevu. Beverly is the fourth child amongst 7 siblings: one brother and five sisters. She was born in Carot Anda and raised in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines. Her faith in Christ was nurtured through the Christian Education Ministries and Youth Ministries of her home church, the First United Methodist Church in Dagupan City.
