Reverend Harry Howe is a Board of Global Ministries missionary serving as a Church and Community worker in Marion, VA, as the Executive Director of Project Crossroads.
Project Crossroads is an outreach ministry designed to address the basic needs of people in that area, alleviate human suffering, and provide an avenue to witness the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. Howe works with agencies, churches, and local organizations in a seven county area to identify and assist with housing needs for the elderly, handicapped, and low-income families.
Born in Kingsport, Tennessee and raised in Pinson, Alabama, Mr. Howe is a graduate of Athens College in Alabama, where he earned a degree in Behavioral Science. He received his M.Div. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Divinity, Nashville, TN. Harry is currently pursuing a Physician's Assistant degree in order to provide medical ministry through Project Crossroads.
Prior to his present assignment, from 1976-82, Mr. Howe was the pastor of Boyd's Chapel United Methodist Church in the North Alabama Conference. From 1982 to 1993 he was the pastor of Marion East Circuit United Methodist Church in the Holston Conference.
Since 1977, he has been involved with United Methodist Volunteer-In-Mission work in Haiti, Zimbabwe and Sudan.
Mr. Howe is married to Denise Howe and they are the parents of two children, Will and Amanda.
