While following the duties and responsibilities for ordained clergy as outlined in the Book of Discipline, Rev. Ramos also sees her ministry embracing more fully prayer and worship, teaching, compassion, and solidarity and advocacy work for justice, peace and integrity of creation. "I believe God’s mission is being carried out through the ministries mentioned above to bring about an abundant life for all people and nations."

For four years Imelda ministered to the underprivileged and marginalized children at the Kapatiran-Kaunlaran Foundation, Inc. in Manila. As chaplain she counseled, listened, provided shelter, food, clothing, education and Christian formation.
Born in Laguilayan, Isulam, Sultan Kudarat, Philippines, Imelda attended the University of Mindanoa in Davao City and earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1988. Rev. Ramos continued her education at Union Theological Seminary in Cavite, Philippines and received her Master of Divinity in 1991. Imelda received her elder’s orders in 1995.
