This newsletter includes information about two events in October:
1. A Mini-Consultation in Cincinnati, OH, October 10, 2009
2. The Eurasia UMC Roundtable in Stamford, CT, October 14-15
1. Bishop Hans Växby will visit the West Ohio Conference for a Mini-Consultation on Saturday, October 10, 1:00 PM at the Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, 1345 Grace Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45208. (Telephone: 513-871-6544)
Bishop Växby will speak about the state of the United Methodist Church in Eurasia and dialogue with people about related issues of interest. There will be some focus on the Volga District where West Ohio Conference churches are particularly involved.
We welcome Russia Initiative partners and interested persons of the West Ohio Conference as well as people in neighboring areas who can conveniently travel to the meeting in Cincinnati.
Bishop Växby will also preach in morning worship services at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church on October 11.
2. The Eurasia UMC Roundtable in Stamford, CT, October 14-15 is a gathering of key mission partners who are coming together to consider and respond to a “roadmap” that Bishop Växby will present from the five annual conferences of Eurasia. The Roundtable will contribute to the process of developing a vision for the Eurasia Area over the next six years.
