Three Channels of Giving for Mission Initiatives

In Mission Together and Cross and People's Faces

You can give to one of the mission initiatives through a United Methodist church, through United Methodist Women, or as an individual using one of these methods: online, through your United Methodist church, by mail, or by phone.

1. For United Methodists: The Advance

The Advance is an official United Methodist program that gives you the opportunity to give to the ministry of your choice. Here's how:

Make your check payable to your local church. Gifts may be designated for specific ministries within the mission initiatives or for the general fund for the each mission initiative (see list below). Write the name of the ministry and the Advance code number on the check. Drop your gift in any United Methodist church offering plate or give your gift to your church treasurer, so that your church and annual conference will get Advance credit.

Credit card gifts can be accepted by phone. The telephone number is  1-888-252-6174. You can also make a secure donation online.

2. For United Methodist Women: Mission Giving Plus

Funds may be given for a specific new mission initiative or for the general program of mission initiatives. Specify clearly your designation on your check and submit same through your local unit of United Methodist Women or directly to the Women's Division, 475 Riverside Drive, Room 1503, New York, NY 10115.
