Coming on the heels of summer wildfires, droughts that caused more than half of all U.S. counties to be declared “disaster zones” and the hottest July in U.S. history, the storm may also be the “watershed” moment when more Americans acknowledged climate change is real, and we’re feeling its effects now not just in some hypothetical future.
