Mary Beth Coudal
Leader for "Food and Faith"
Mary Beth Coudal is the Staff Writer of the General Board of Global Ministries. Mary Beth has been an executive for the Women’s Division. She is the author of the 2002-2003 youth study guide, James: Faith Works. She has led studies on Public Education and Globalization at earlier Conference Schools of Christian Mission.
Her stories appear regularly on the Global Ministries web page at gbgm-umc.org and in the magazines, Response, New World Outlook, and The Interpreter.
Her humorous essays have appeared in the New York Times, Self Magazine, and other national newspapers and magazines. Originally from Park Ridge, IL, Mary Beth holds a BA and an MA in English Literature from NYU. She enjoys comedy, the theater, reading, and, most of all, her three children.
