Judy Nutter, previous director of the Women’s Division and General Board of Global Ministries, served as vice president of the Women’s Division, chairperson of the Section of Christian Social Responsibility from 2000-2004. Regional and Conference Schools of Christian Mission hold a significant place in her life, as she has lead officer updates and focus groups; assisted with plenaries; served on regional and conference school planning teams, serving both as dean of the West Virginia Conference School of Christian Mission and the Upper Atlantic Regional School.

Judy has served her local unit of United Methodist Women in many capacities including president. Service as a conference officer included Chairperson of the Committee on Nominations, chairperson of the Committee on Membership, mission coordinator of Supportive Community and president. She has served the West Virginia Annual Conference in many capacities and presently serves as the Conference chairperson of the Global Ministries Team. Judy has been a delegate to both General and Jurisdictional Conferences. Currently Judy serves as congregational development co-chair and senior UMYF counselor for St. Mary’s United Methodist Church.

Judy began her career as an extension agent, 4-H, and continues to work as a volunteer leader for 4-H Club Work. Presently she serves as a substitute teacher for the Pleasant’s County Board of Education. She and her husband, Randy, have two adult children, son-in-law and two granddaughters.

January 2007, Judy was a participant in the GBGM Mission, Education & Advocacy Trip to Israel/Palestine. The study on Israel/Palestine became a passion, with Judy remaining in close contact with United Methodist mission personnel and partners in the area and leading a WV Conference VIM Trip to Israel and the West Bank in 2008. March 2009, Judy participated in the GBGM Mission, Education & Advocacy Trip to Sudan.
