Jay Godfrey, originally from central Pennsylvania, is a Seminar Designer for the United Methodist Seminar Program on National and International Affairs of the Women’s Division at the Church Center for the United Nations in New York. As a Seminar Designer, he custom-designs and facilitates educational seminars on social justice issues from a perspective of faith for groups from across the country and around the world.

Prior to working for the Seminar Program, he served as a Mission Intern working in the field of conflict resolution among Muslim and Catholic youth for the Omladinski Youth Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also served as a US-2 missionary coordinating the community programs for the Upper Sand Mountain Parish in northeastern Alabama.

Jay holds a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Church and Community Ministries from the Candler School of Theology, Emory University in Atlanta. He is married to Heather White, a professional dancer specializing in musical theater and liturgical dance choreography and performance.
