Genie Bank
Leader for "Food and Faith"
Genie bank is a life-long Methodist, born in Illinois. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.
Genie has been involved in United Methodist Women for over 30 years. She has served as an officer in the Saginaw Bay District of the Detroit Conference and as president of the Western New York Conference. She also served as president of the Northeastern Jurisdiction United Methodist Women and was assistant dean and dean of its Upper Atlantic Regional School of Christian Mission. She is a past president of the Women's Division of the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) and Vice President of GBGM. She continues to be active as a speaker and in leadership training.
Currently she serves her local church in the education and music departments. She coordinates an Ecumenical Vacation Bible School in her community and co-leads the weekly after school program that targets children in the area. She also serves on the Conference Board of Global Ministries as chair of the Committee on Mission Personnel.
Genie's family includes her husband, Wayne, two adult sons and their spouses, four grandsons and one granddaughter.
