Wanda Holcombe, a retired Methodist Missionary, has provided consultancy on Village Development, an Evangelical and Church Development ministry, which helps people help themselves throughout Asia, Australia, Central America and Africa since 1970.

As Peace with Justice Coordinator for the SWTC, she:

• Creates/facilitates seminars on "Reconciliation & Healing Methods"
• Gives presentations on justice concerns.
• Ex-Officio member of the SV;TX CBCS
• Member of the SWTX CCUIC
• Board member of Texas Impact.

Wanda assisted in the formation/leadership of two GBCS Interfaith Pilgrimages:

• Holy Lands 2006
• Istanbul 2008

Wanda led UMW Mission Studies:

• Global Health
• Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos
• Restorative Justice
• Creating Interfaith Community
• Public Education
• Globalization
• Shalom, Salaam, Peace
• Israel/Palestine
• Regional Teacher Israel and Palestine Study

She initiated an Israel/Palestine Task Force for her conference to build awareness for peace efforts in the Holy Lands and served as Co-coordinator for the GBCS Living Faith Seeking Justice Conference.

She led two VIM Teams to Cameroon, Africa and helps her husband promote the GBGM New Church Initiative for Cameroon.

Wanda is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She resides in Austin where her husband is pastor of Asbury UMC. They have two adult children and five grandchildren.
