Billie R. Nowabbi

Leader of "Native American Survival"

Billie is an ordained Elder in the Oklahoma Indian Missionary Conference of the UnitedBillie NowabbiBillie Nowabbi Methodist Church. She is completing her twenty-fifth year as clergy and is appointed for the third year to the Dallas Indian United Methodist Church in the Oak Cliff community. She serves on the Conference Finance and Administration and mentors two pastors.

Billie has served on the conference boards and general agencies including the General Boards of Publications, Higher Education and Ministry and the Global Ministries. She has served on the Scarritt-Bennett Center in Nashville, TN, the Native American Comprehensive Plan and the National United Methodist Native American Center. She is a former staff of the Women Division and the National Division of the GBGM. Billie is a member of the Rural Chaplain Association, and a Disaster Early Response Team Leader and has taken teams into Louisiana, Mississippi, and Eagle Pass, Texas. Over the years, she has taught in conference: schools of mission and has participated in the Mission Travel Study into Indonesia and Mexico.

Billie enjoys working with her container flowers and being entertained by McKenzie, her five year old niece.
