Rev. Mary Kathryn Pierce
Leader for "Food and Faith"
Reverend Mary Kathryn Pearce is an elder in the United Methodist Church and a
member of Illinois Great Rivers Conference of UMC. She is serving Prospect UMC in Dunlap, IL. Dunlap is located on the northern edge of Peoria, Illinois.
Reverend Pearce has been related to Schools of Christian Mission for twenty-five years. She has served as Dean of her Conference and has taught in numerous conference schools and Regional Schools of Christian Mission. In addition, she has written program materials for United Methodist Women and articles for Response Magazine, been a focus leader for UMW Assemblies, and designed and led spiritual retreats for numerous conferences. Rev. Pearce authored the 2004 Spiritual Growth Study, Concerning Prayer. She has served as a member of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women and been adjunct faculty to the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO. Her educational accomplishments include Master's Degrees in English and Political Science and a Master of Divinity from the lliff School of Theology.
For renewal, Mary Kathryn enjoys reading a good book about life's adventures, finding a rare piece of American Fostoria, absorbing the beauty of God's creation, and traveling to explore God's global community.
