Dr. Fred A. Allen

Dr. Fred A. Allen, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, married to Christine, the father of four children: Sharonda, LaChelle, DeAndra, and Justin. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Tennessee State University, Nashville, TN., and a Master of Divinity Degree from Saint Paul School of Theology, Kansas City, MO., and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Drew University School of Theology, Madison NJ.
His vocational history includes over thirty-five years of professional experience as an executive staff manager, administrator and communicator in Christian institutions including UMC general program agencies and para-church organizations. Also, he have served on several UMC General Boards and Agencies and beyond including The General Board of Global Ministries, National Black Methodist for Church Renewal, General Commission on the Status and Role of Women, Metropolitan Community Young Adults Housing, Inc. New York City, The Parsons Black Improvement Team, Parsons Kansas, Strengthening The Black Church for the 21st Century, UMC Interagency Global Health Initiative, General Commission on Unity and Interreligious Concerns (Consultation on the Global Nature of The Church, Salama Ministries, Tennessee Alliance for Progress; elected delegate to three UMC General and Jurisdictional Conferences; The United Methodist Publishing House staff liaison for the Africa Collaboration Team of UMPH, GBOD and UMCOM
Dr. Allen is an Ordained Elder and Member of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and his pastorates include the following: Senior Pastor, Metropolitan Community United Methodist Church, New York City (Village of Harlem), New York; College Avenue United Methodist Church, Manhattan, Kansas; Asbury/Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Topeka Kansas; Parsons United Parish, Parsons Kansas.
