Roni KuesterRoni Kuester

Leader for the Youth Study

Roni Kuester is a life-long Methodist, born in Michigan, and a graduate of Michigan State University. She taught in the public schools in California after graduation - first at the junior and senior high schools levels, then, after a "break" to begin a family, moving to an elementary school district to develop an enrichment program of non-remedial psychomotor education and vocal music from which she has recently retired.

Roni has been involved with United Methodist Women for over thirty years. She has held leadership positions in her local unit, as well as on the Santa Ana District and Cal-Pac Conference mission teams. She continues, also, to be active in retreat leadership, as a speaker, and in leadership development and training. In addition, she directs an active upper elementary choir in her home church in Huntington Beach, California, and writes a little music.

Roni has served in various capacities at Schools of Christian Mission, the most recent being as part of the youth-leader teams in Cal-Pac Conference. She is working currently to develop a "bridging class" for young women (13-23) as the Conference seeks to ease the way from the youth SOCM classes into the adult classes.

Roni has been married to husband, Dick, for 45 years, has two adult daughters, Margo and Temre, and one grandchild, Simon.
