Martin Luther King Day

King’s Gospel Message: Love Your Enemies
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of God in heaven. … Be perfect, therefore, as God is perfect.” (Matthew 5:43-45, 48)

Much Overcome, Much To Do
An African American will be inaugurated as president of the United States of America the day after our national holiday for a champion of the Gospel call to racial and social justice, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We’ve overcome much! We’ve much to do.
