11/25/2013 Thanksgiving is a special time for my family. We come together, we enjoy each other, we catch up on the current trends, jobs, family, retirement, travel, children, trials, etc. It’s been a fast year, full of joy and pain. But both the joy and pain have helped us in our spiritual development. Thanksgiving we will gather to celebrate and give thanks for all the Blessings that we have been afforded by God.

10/01/2013 “Shades of Violence, Paths to Healing” was the theme of an opening gathering on domestic violence and abuse sponsored jointly by the United Methodist Women and United Methodist Men of the Baltimore-Washington Conference. It was an event that featured experts’ statistics as well as the personal stories of those who suffered various forms of domestic violence and abuse. It highlighted the need for being peacemakers in our communities.
