United Methodist Women Launches Web Campaign for Human Trafficking Awareness Day

On January 11, 2011, Human Trafficking Awareness Day, the United Methodist Women homepage will feature an interactive, informational slideshow dedicated to raising awareness of human trafficking and ways to combat it. This slideshow will redirect from the homepage for approximately 24 hours, from 9 PM Monday to 10 PM Tuesday.

The website will also feature links to downloadable material for our "Intercept the Traffickers" campaign to end trafficking at the upcoming Super Bowl, a Bible study on human trafficking, a PowerPoint presentation and accompanying text for an educational seminar, action alerts, and a human trafficking fact sheet.

The United Methodist Women Twitter and Facebook accounts will also dedicate the day to sharing information on human trafficking, targeting especially a list of NFL playoff related members of Twitter in an effort to get them to join the campaign by retweeting our information.

If you have any questions, please contact Leigh Rogers at lrogers@unitedmethodistwomen.org or 212-870-3696.
