Tune In to "We Shall Remain" to Supplement 2009 Mission Study
United Methodist Women are engaged in a mission study about Native American history and current realities, “Giving Our Hearts Away.” To further expand on this study, we encourage you to view the 5-part PBS American Experience series, “We Shall Remain” shown weekly from April 13 – May 11. It depicts key moments in American history through Indians’ eyes.
The United Methodist Women’s Mission Study, "Giving Our Hearts Away," enables us to explore both the history and current realities of Native Peoples. It is timely, then, that PBS will broadcast a new five-part series, "We Shall Remain," beginning on Monday, April 13. The series continues on April 20 and 27, May 4 and May 11.The series has been created with the participation of numerous Native Americans.

On the “We Shall Remain” website, Native Americans are invited to share their own stories, so the project will continue with the sharing of many perspectives and experiences.
