New United Methodist Women Handbook Off Press
The 2009-2012 United Methodist Women Handbook is off press and now available
from the Mission Resource Center E- Store. A new design consolidates into a single volume Local and District Units, District, Finance, Constitution and Bylaws, and A Guide to Program Planning. The book also includes tips for United Methodist Women officers, and financial remittance forms. Subject-labeled tabs, and a choice of spiral binding or three-hole punched loose-leaf edition make the resource easy to use.
“We wanted to make the best use of paper and mission funds,” said Diana Rodriguez, Women’s Division executive coordinating production of the new resource. “Making a single book instead of five was economically and environmentally sound. The new design is practical and smart. ”
The 2009-2012 United Methodist Women Handbook is organized into six sections:
• Local and District Units
• District
• Finance
• Constitution and Bylaws
• Program Planning
• Tools, Tips and Forms
The new-member friendly resource includes tips for planning exciting unit and circle meetings.
“The Tools and Tips section focuses on the Purpose,” Ms. Rodriguez said. “It details our inspiring beginnings in mission, and our present ministries with women, children and youth. Readers will discover information on the meaning of United Methodist Women as well as tips for performing the duties of United Methodist Women officers.”
