The Assembly Scripture

Colossians 1:3-6

3. In our prayers for you we always thank God, for the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 4. for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints, 5. because of the hope laid for you in heaven.

You have heard this gospel before in the word of the truth, the gospel 6. that has come to you. Just as it is bearing fruit and growing in the whole world, so it has been bearing fruit among yourselves from the day you heard it and truly comprehended the grace of God. Offering Statement

The 2010 Assembly Offering theme is putting into action our faith, hope and love. The offering will help fund organizations and projects focused on global health and environmental justice issues that affect women, children and youth in the United States and internationally.

These issues will be addressed through taking action to educate and advocate. This will provide hope to marginalized communities through the dual approach of increasing access to a better quality of life and perhaps more importantly to empower women, children and youth on these issues.
