Ubuntu Journey to Zimbabwe
Rock Solid Relationships
Join United Methodist Women from the United States and travel to Zimbabwe to experience the essence of being human, because Ubuntu means “I am because of who we all are.”
“Who hears the word of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)
Zimbabwe means “house of stone,” and United Methodist sisters will build “rock- solid” cross-cultural relationships, learning how and what we support affects women, children and youth globally.
Ubuntu Sisters will engage in the following during this journey:
- Build relationships and exchange ideas.
- Experience radical hospitality from our host families.
- Grow spiritually through worship, devotions and sharing our gifts.
- Be inspired by faithful United Methodist Women in Zimbabwe.
- Tour Methodist projects: Africa University, Old Mutare Mission, others.
- Visit the Great Zimbabwe Ruins and Victoria Falls.
