The United States government began funding research and development for the Internet in the 1960s. Since that time, the Internet has developed to become one of the most widely used mediums for communication across the globe.
Our planet is warming and as a result some communities around the world, from the United States to the islands of the Indian Ocean, have become refugees of climate change. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), “climate change is one of the most critical global challenges of our time.”
