On May 17, 2007 a group of senators and the White House introduced a "grand compromise" Senate bill on immigration reform: Secure Borders, Economic Opportunity and Immigration Reform Act of 2007.

Support the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP)

United Methodist Women members are asked to act now to ensure health care for the nine million children living without health insurance. Directors of United Methodist Women’s administrative body, Women’s Division, affirmed the moral obligation to provide health insurance to all children in the United States at a recent meeting.
