Roni Kuester is a life-long Methodist, born in Michigan, and a graduate of Michigan State University. She has been teaching in the public schools in California since graduation - first at the junior high and high school levels, then, after a "break" to begin a family, moving to an elementary school district to develop the enrichment program of non-remedial psychomotor education and music she currently teaches.
Roni has been involved in United Methodist Women for over thirty years. She has held leadership positions in her local unit, as well as on the district and conference mission teams. She continues, also, to be active in retreat leadership, as a speaker, and in leadership development and training. In addition, she directs an active upper elementary choir at her home church in Huntington Beach and writes a little music.
Roni has served in various capacities at Schools of Christian Mission, the most
recent as part of the youth-leader teams in the Cal-Pac Conference. She finds this one of the most challenging roles she has encountered as a United Methodist woman.
Roni has been married to husband, Dick, for forty-one years, has two adult
daughters, Margo and Temre, and one grandchild, Simon.
