Finance & Administrative Services
United Methodist Women's Finance & Administrative Services office:
- Appropriates Mission Giving funds for ministries, programs and services
- Works with and trains United Methodist Women conference treasurers
- Manages United Methodist Women-owned properties (link to Properties page below)
- Facilitates funding of grants
- Maintains the United Methodist Women budget
Christian Social Action
The Christian Social Action section works on:
- Advocacy on United Methodist Women issues
- Community organizing for advocacy and legislative events
- Training for United Methodist Women social action coordinators
- Action Alerts on key congressional legislation and policy
- Collaboration with coalition partners and other faith-based, non-profit or justice organizations
Membership & Leadership Development
The Membership & Leadership Development section works on:
- Leadership training for officers and members
- Membership growth, relationship building & enrichment
- Language ministries
- Conference outreach, recruitment & advocacy
National & International Ministries
National Ministries of United Methodist Women relates to programs such as:
International Ministries relates to programs such as:
International Ministries also funds many international projects and programs in over 100 countries for women, children and youth. The projects focus on issues including:
- Leadership development of women & girls
- Health, nutrition & nurture
- Alleviating violence & exploitation of children
- Relief for refugees and displaced persons
- Education, particularly for girls
- Global poverty
- Networking & organizing youth movements
