Background
Since its inception in 1996, UMCOR Azerbaijan programs have targeted the most vulnerable people, namely those who are internally displaced, institutionalized, asylum seekers and refugees. Current programs focus largely on health and relief although past programs included community development. UMCOR Azerbaijan's operations are based in the capital city of Baku.
MATERIAL RESOURCES
UMCOR distributes hygiene kits, layette kits, school kits, clothing, blankets and other goods through these programs to provide additional assistance to the most vulnerable. UMCOR Azerbaijan distributed medicines, medical supplies and non-medical goods totally $3,654,240 during 2005 and 2006.

UMCOR Azerbaijan works with a variety of partners to make our work possible. In addition to the private funds we receive through The United Methodist Church we also receive support from the US Department of State.
