How do I give a financial donation?
100% of your donation will go to hurricane relief.

You can give online at www.givetomission.org.

You can give by check by making the check out to UMCOR and writing Advance #982511, Hurricanes 2007 in the memo line of your check. You can mail your check to UMCOR, PO Box 9068, New York, NY 10087-9068 or place it in the offering plate of any United Methodist Church.

How do I donate supplies?
UMCOR Sager Brown in Baldwin, LA, is collecting health kits and flood buckets.

UMCOR is not accepting clothing and food donations. Please contact your local Red Cross or Salvation Army.

How do I volunteer?
Volunteer coordinators for the United Methodist Church are organized geographically. Contact your area's jurisdictional or annual conference coordinator for information about how to volunteer.

I NEED HELP

How can I receive financial assistance?
Save your receipts. You will need proof of your expenses and who is staying in your home. You can apply for immediate assistance through FEMA and the Red Cross (1-800-HELP-NOW). UMCOR provides assistance through our Annual Conference partners during the long term recovery when the first responders have completed their work.

How can I find a shelter?
You need to contact the Red Cross (1-800-HELP-NOW) for your nearest shelter.
