Disaster Case Management Webinar
Sept. 5, 2011—On Tuesday, September 6 at 2:00 pm (Eastern time) Church World Service (CWS) Emergency Response Program staff will be joined by Cathy Earl of the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and Heather Gatlin of Lutheran Disaster Response in presenting the next in CWS's series of webinar trainings for long-term recovery following a disaster.
Disaster Case Management has been a cornerstone activity in Long-term recovery for years. This webinar will talk about changes taking place in Disaster Case Management and reaffirm the underlying values that remain the same. It is an opportunity to learn more about the context of case management. UMCOR provides in-person training to prepare volunteers and others to serve as disaster case managers. Cathy Earl is UMCOR US Disaster Response executive secretary.
This webinar will be especially helpful to anyone on a community Long-Term Recovery Group, persons who are or who may become Disaster Case Managers, pastors of churches in disaster affected communities, state and federal voluntary agency liaisons, judicatory executives, and other stakeholders.
