$250 Girls’ Education
Provide a girl in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with tuition, uniform and school supplies for one year. Help orphaned or disadvantaged girls in five villages and towns in the southern highlands of Congo to attend school. UMCOR supports the girls through a mentoring program through which the girls are encouraged in their studies and plans for the future. The success of the program is evident in the numbers; 91 percent of the girls successfully passed their examinations to the next class.
