And the Angels Weep
Mark James
April 14th, 1958--September 10, 2001This memorial was written by Bruce Richard Hermansson
On this day, the 15th of September 2001, we're given a gift. A gift of love, sharing, and compassion in the memorial service for our dear friend Mark James.
Mark is survived by his partner Clint, their love a beacon for us all to aspire to in its beauty and warmth.
Mark was born on April 14th, 1958 in Atlanta, Georgia and he went home to be with God on the 10th of September 2001. In the light of his life, that still shines bright for many of us, Mark gave so much to friends and family alike. His gentleness and spiritual nature touches us all now and forever.
For many of us this week has been a dream, a nightmare, a week of contemplation, a time for solace in knowing that we are touched by many hearts.
Hold these simple words in your heart....
And the Angels weep...
As the light of this day becomes a memory, the reality will be dreams broken, plans and lives shattered and the significance of those who have touched our lives instilled in our hearts. To lose so many in one day, the loss of one may touch but a few, but those few like us; the world is somehow darker and more quiet than usual.
We are all truly blessed to have known the wonderful spirit of the individual known as
Mark James
Soon and very soon, we are going to see the King;
soon and very soon, we are going to see the King;
soon and very soon, we are going to see the King.
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We're going to see the King.
In this Circle Benediction, that Mark so loved; Mark is now free to encircle the world with his love, wisdom and compassion for us all.
In Memoriam this 15th day of September, in the year of our lord two thousand and one. Grace shine on us all.
