Welcome to the Copyright Management of the Global Praise music. Information on how to obtain licenses follows and FAQ for further information.
We only license words and music represented by The General Board of Global Ministries, GBGMusik. The best way to determine who owns or controls a song is to look at the copyright notice for that song. Copyright notices are usually located on the first page of the song.
Print License
There are two ways to obtain permission to duplicate our songs. You may submit your request in writing via e-mail (copyright@gbgm-umc.org) or fax: 212-870-3748 or by writing to The Copyright Office, General Board of Global Ministries, GBGMusik, 475 Riverside Drive, Room 350, New York, NY. 10115. To reproduce songs for congregational singing, you may log onto www.OneLicense.net and obtain a license. (see Resources below).
When submitting a permission request, we need the following:
- Name of song/article/poem/stanzas quoted
- If it is a song, specify if the request is to reprint the words only or both words and music
- Name of composer/author/arranger
- Your name and contact information
- Brief description of the intended use of the copyrighted work: worship booklet/liturgy, single copies, songbook
- Number of copies being published, reprinted or photocopied
- Sale price, if applicable
- Date and place of event
Mechanical License
To obtain permission to record any of our music or to request use of a Master Recording, please submit your request in writing by e-mail (copyright@gbgm-umc.org), fax: 212-870-3783 or write to The Copyright Office, General Board of Global Ministries, GBGMusik, 475 Riversde Drive, Room 350, New York, NY 10115.
Be sure to include the following information:
- Name of song, composer/author/arranger
- Your name and contact information
- Product format (CD, DVD)
- Release date
- Number of copies being produced
- Sale price, if applicable
