Human Relations Day

January 18, 2009: This Special Sunday celebrates the connectional work of United Methodist Churches. It supports Community Developers and United Methodist Voluntary Service (UMVS), both of which are Global Ministries programs, and the Youth Offender Rehabilitation Program administered by the General Board of Church and Society.
The United Methodist Book of Discipline describes the purpose of Human Relations Day as a call to "the Church to recognize the right of all God's children in realizing their potential as human beings in relationship with each other."
