Three new missionaries will serve through the National Plan for Latino and Hispanic Ministries; four more are from and will serve in Latin American countries, making the missionary class more than fifty percent Spanish-speaking. Bishop Martinez said this is "the vanguard of the new missionary movement of The United Methodist Church."
