The UN Summit on the Millennium Development Goals

The General Assembly of the United Nations began on September 20 with a three-day review of progress toward achievement of the Millennium Development Goals, eight provisions to end extreme poverty around the world by 2015.  The goals were adopted in the year 2000.

A great deal of data was released and new proposals presented during this "summit."  The international links below are to articles that contain summaries of the summit proceedings and analysis of its significance.
