Revocable Living Trusts

Financial Planning ToolsThe Revocable Living Trust can be a useful tool to make either a current or deferred charitable gift.  The charity can be named as beneficiary of income and/or principal.  The income can be fixed, variable, or accumulated.  Living Trusts are flexible and give people the ability to change their minds and have the trust assets returned to them.  Donors can also choose their beneficiaries yearly.

A Revocable Living Trust is an excellent tool to provide for the management of one's assets during lifetime while planning for the future distribution of property from the estate, quickly, efficiently, and privately.

Revocable Trust assets are subject to federal and state estate taxes.  However, under federal law an unlimited amount of property can be given federal estate tax free to charity from your trusts.  Contact a staff member for more information on Living Trusts.
