Opportunities
The main aim of Amity's Teachers Program is to equip future teachers of English with better language skills which they, in turn, will pass on to their students.
Amity's short-term Summer English Program (SEP) provides Chinese junior high school and elementary school English teachers with an opportunity to improve their oral English and listening skills.
The GJV program enables young adults, 18-30 years old, to have short term experiences (approximately 6-8 weeks) living and learning along side people whose lives are shaped by justice work.
Organizations around the world host these teams of women. The program is supported by United Methodist Women in cooperation with Mission Volunteers and highlights the indispensable importance of community.
There are several Advance Special projects related to China that touch the daily lives of the young, mature and elderly on the China mainland and in Hongkong and Taiwan, from blindness prevention to biogas systems, from care of orphans to HIV/AIDS training.
