Dr. John Edward Nuessle:
Dr. John Edward Nuessle is an Assistant General Secretary at the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church. John serves in wide-ranging missional arenas with specific responsibilities for leading the Mission Education and Mission Initiatives Staff Teams, as well as the Team on the Academy of Mission Renewal. Through these mission programs he works to promote engagement in the United Methodist theology of mission by the whole church and advancing the pioneer evangelism efforts of the denomination. In addition to his work at Global Ministries over half his career, John has held a variety of pastoral appointments during these past thirty years, in rural multiple church charges, suburban settings, and a downtown urban pastorate, as well as a district superintendent. A native of New York State, John is an ordained elder of the North Central New York Annual Conference and holds the M.Div. and D.Min. theological degrees from Drew University at Madison, New Jersey.
Dr. Diana L. Hynson:
Dr. Diana L. Hynson is currently a staff member of the General Board of Discipleship, serving as Director, Learning and Teaching Ministries and Director, Church Vitality Indicator since 2001. Prior to this appointment, Dr. Hynson worked as a development editor of adult resources at The United Methodist Publishing House for over 13 years. Diana is a member of the Conference Leaders team at GBOD, offering seminars, classes, workshops, and other resources in the area of Christian education and formation, small group ministry, and coaching. She is a member of the Baltimore-Washington Annual Conference and a two-time graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary, holding an M. Div. and a D. Min. in Christian education. Hynson has planned and written study materials for other resources, most recently for Beyond the Roll Book: Sunday School and Evangelism (Abingdon) and Lay Speakers Teach Adults (Discipleship Resources).
