Financial Report For 2009

Support of missionaries and projects through The Advance remained strong in 2009, according to the Financial Report released by the General Board of Global Ministries. Despite the recession, gifts of support totaled over $34.5 million, and United Methodists are dedicated to meeting the needs of others both nationally and globally. The 2009 Reports are divided by jurisdiction and annual conference.

North Central Jurisdiction

The North Central Jurisdiction made gifts to Project Support totaling $8,521,820 . Additionally they gave $1,605,097 in Missionary Support totaling $10,126,916 for 2009.

Northeastern Jurisdiction

The Northeastern Jurisdiction made $3,058,678 in gifts to Project Support. They added $995,037 to Missionary Support for a total of $4,053,714 for 2009.

South Central Jurisdiction

The South Central Jurisdiction's gifts to Project Support were $4,343,758 . Their gifts to Missionary Support were $967,768 for a total gift to mission of $5,311,526 for 2009.

Southeastern Jurisdiction

The Southeastern Jurisdiction gifted $6,229,782 earmarked for Project Support, and another $1,919,043 designated for Missionary Support. Their total gift to mission were $8,148,824 for 2009.

Western Jurisdiction

The Western Jurisdiction's gifts to Project Support were $1,859,461 . An additional $530,165 for Missionary Support brought their total gift to missions of $2,389,626 for 2009.

Non-Conference/Jurisdiction:

The Non-Conference/Jurisdiction: made $4,438,186 in gifts to Project Support. They added $159,436 to Missionary Support for a total of $4,597,622 for 2009.
