Creating a welcoming community by providing immigration legal services, education and advocacy
Background / History
Imagine that you have fled your country out of fear for the safety of yourself and your children. You arrive in the United States and are still learning English. You seek to unite with your family, to work here lawfully, to remain safe from domestic violence. You do not know your rights or what you are eligible to apply for. You cannot afford a private immigration attorney to help. Justice For Our Neighbors ministry exists to help these vulnerable immigrants, providing quality, affordable legal services that help people access immigration laws in a compassionate and welcoming environment.
Goals & Objectives
1. To serve more clients and conduct more legal cases as a network than any previous year.
1. Legal mentoring and guidance to the network through trained regional attorneys
1. Approximately 300 immigrants served per JFON attorney per year (currently, JFON serves more than 2,000 clients per year).
