Steps to Becoming a Global Mission Partner Congregation
A Global Mission Partner is a United Methodist congregation that expands its vision of mission by partnering not only with a Global Ministries missionary but also a Person in Mission. Here is how to become a Global Mission Partner:
- Pay 100% of Apportionments
We ask that a local church first commit to their required apportioned giving before making a commitment to "second-mile" giving through The Advance. - Be a Covenant Relationship Congregation
Support a missionary commissioned by the General Board of Global Ministries in a Covenant Relationship . The annual financial commitment for a Covenant Relationship is $2,500 or more per year or $5 per member or more per year for small congregations. - Pledge Support for a Person-in-Mission
Commit to a PIM by choosing a country and PIM position that your congregation will support with gifts and prayers. Complete the Global Mission Partner Agreement Acceptance Form below and return to The Advance office. - Tell the Story to other Congregations
Each local church shall commit itself to share its good experience as a Global Mission Partner with other congregations with the hope of enlisting them in the program.
The commitment of a Global Mission Partner congregation is as follows:
- Support for Global Mission Partners is the annual financial commitment of $2.00 per member or $1,000 per congregation.
- Download the Global Mission Partners Agreement form:
