The Rev. Paul D. Caseman is a United Methodist missionary appointed as pastor of Memorial United Methodist Church in Seward and the Moose Pass United Methodist Church in the Alaska Missionary Conference. He is a member of the Desert Southwest Annual Conference, where he has served since 1992. He was assigned to the Alaska congregations in mid-2010.
Seward and Moose Pass are located on the Kenai Peninsula in the mountainous region along the southern shore of Alaska. Both congregations are active in their communities on both spiritual and social fronts. Moose Pass, the newer and smaller of the two, is located on Trail Lake, about 30 miles from Seward. It was established shortly after World War II by a deaconess who passed through the area. Memorial Church is located in downtown Seward.
Rev. Caseman grew up in West Virginia, and was baptized in 1948. He attended West Liberty University, near Wheeling, and received his Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia in 1992. He served St. Stephen United Methodist Church, Monroe, Georgia, as a student pastor before settling in Arizona. He was associate pastor of Christ Church United Methodist in Tucson from 1992 until 1997, and was senior pastor of St. Mark's, Tucson, from 1997 until 2010. Paul describes himself as "deeply committed to Christ."
Paul Caseman married his wife, Patty, in 1954, and the couple has four grown children and six grandchildren.
