Mission Support Liaison
Amanda grew up in the North Georgia conference of the United Methodist Church. She left home at 14 to study classical ballet at Interlochen Arts Academy, and then danced professionally with various dance companies in the USA. Amanda has her degree in Dance Pedagogy from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA. Upon retiring from dance, Amanda entered and graduated from Candler School of Theology, Emory University with her Masters of Divinity degree, earning certificates in Youth Ministry and Women in Theology and Ministry. She also worked as a mentor with the Youth Theological Initiative at Emory and believes in the power of education to transform the world. Amanda is also a candidate for Deaconess Orders in the United Methodist Church and feels called to a life of service to the church by eradicating poverty and all that robs human beings of their full dignity and worth.
At The Advance, Amanda:
• Connects youth and young adults to the work and vision of The Advance which includes overseeing the B1 Campaign.
• Relates the work and vision of The Advance to youth workers to promote increased participation and giving.
