Mission Volunteers Board of Directors Spring 2007 Meeting
The meeting on April 24 in Stamford, Connecticut, was called to order by Kathleen Enzminger, Mission Volunteers Convenor.
Devotions and prayer
The directors welcomed guests Bishop Ricardo Pereira of Cuba, along with Rev. Marco Perez who is leading the Cuba Methodist Seminary; Aldo Gonzalez, coordinator for UMVIM teams in Cuba, with his wife, Susan; and Nick Elliott, director of Southeast Jurisdiction Volunteers in Mission. They received reports from Bishop Pereira, Rev. Perez, and Mr. Gonzalez on the work of UMVIM teams in Cuba, and heard challenges for the future for UMVIMs from Nick Elliott.

The directors also welcomed Clint Rabb, new Assistant General Secretary for Mission Volunteers, and Beth Buchanan, new MV staff person.

They reviewed the staff report, viewed a video presentation on the Ubuntu eXplorers Journey to Uruguay led by Judith Siaba, and heard a report on UMVIM training in the Korean language held in Los Angeles from Rev. Jong Sung Kim, director of Mission Initiatives.
