BIG Gardens project is a series of community gardens located in Omaha which help to empower neighbors to grow nutritious food, build community partnerships, improve their health and start small businesses.
A visit to Soul’s Desire for books, hospitality, and holy hardware was the finale in seeing just a few of the UMC ministries in Omaha. The group’s tour guide was Rev. Stephanie Ahlschwede, pastor of Dietz UMC.
The next Individual Volunteer training will be held in Cleveland, Ohio at Nehemiah Mission of Cleveland, on April 16-19, 2009. For more information, please contact Nancy Eubanks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
