A unique Individual Volunteer training session was completed on February 8th, 2009, at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.

This event was designed for the students at that institution, and they were joined by others in the area who found the location and timing suitable for their own training.

The mix of students and non-students was affirmed by all who attended and many possible placements emerged during the three days.

Costa Rica, Turkey, Spain, Honduras, Korea, Guatemala, Liberia, Mexico, Africa University, and various US sites are the choices already decided by these potential volunteers.

The staff from Global Ministries was joined by Jimmy Swaim , UMVIM Coordinator for North Texas Conference and Debbie Vest, Director of South Central Jurisdiction UMVIM.
