The group was enhanced by the discussions and
talks presented by Carol Lakota Eastin of the Native American
Fellowship, Peoria, IL; Jennie and Stan Lowery, MMDC directors; Bunny
Wolfe, Illinois Great Rivers Conference Director of Missions &
Outreach Ministries; and Mary Fritz, former missionary to Bolivia.
Dr. Roger Boe helped them understand the implications of staying
healthy while on their assignment. Stan and Jennie gave them a tour of
MMDC to see all that goes on and out of there. One of the trainees,
Pastor Richard Lyon of Colorado adeptly led the Bible Study, and he and
Tamara Gates of New York together led the communion service on Sunday
morning.
