This training marks the completion of one of the largest groups of Individual Volunteers, recently held at Camp Egan in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Topics covered at the training included “Health and Wellness”, “Cultural Awareness”, “Reverse Culture shock” and “Fundraising Ideas”.

The training incorporated a “field trip” to Cookson Hills Center, a project of the United Methodist Women and the General Board of Global Ministries. Meri Whitaker serves as a GBGM missionary for Cookson Hills. Support for Meri Whitaker and Cookson Hills Center can be given through The Advance.
