Congregational Mission Initiatives
Congregational Mission Initiatives of the Evangelization and Church Growth Unit of the General Board of Global Ministries is tasked with Program Strategy 1.12 of the General Board of Global Ministries. "Initiate New Areas of Mission Engagement."
The objective is "to undertake new mission evanglism initiatives for reaching new constituencies, establishing new congregations and cultivating new missional relationships in countries and communities where United Methodism and/or cooperative church relationships do not exist.
As new initiatives are developed program funds are needed to acquire train leaders, nurture persons, and develop ministries for health and healing. These initiatives often emerge quickly.
